BIOGRAPHY

Nesley Fairburn is an international actress, director, acting coach, and filmmaker based in both London and Marbella. She completed her high school education in performing arts at Oshkosh North High School in Wisconsin, USA, before attending the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, where she trained in classical acting and British theatre.

Nesley furthered her training in Physical Theatre under Norman Taylor, focusing on "Lecoq Pedagogy" at the New York Movement Studio. She also completed a master's course in "Grotowski Centre," another physical theatre technique, studying under Thomas Richards and Mario Biaginni in Italy. Additionally, she has extensively worked on Stanislavski's technique with her acting coach, Jenny Lipman, in London and New York City at the American Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts, followed by intensive training in Method Acting with a director from the Actors Studio. Nesley has trained and collaborated with Yorgos Karamelogos, the director of "Physical Labs," a well-known expert in the Body and Mind Approach worldwide. She had the privilege of training with Rodney Cottier, the head of acting at LAMDA, on Shakespearean acting, as well as with Henry Lewis, co-creator of "The Play That Goes Wrong" in the West End, London, focusing on improvisational theatre.

Furthermore, she trained and worked with film director Norman B. Schwartz, assisting in his online screen acting classes that emphasised Sandy Meisner's technique and the importance of the editing department in screen acting. Most importantly, immediately after graduating from drama school, she had the honour of sharing the stage with the legendary veteran actor Trader Faulkner for over 10 years, during which she worked alongside and assisted him in theatre and writing, enormously inspiring her throughout her acting career. Later, she was honoured to take over Trader Faulkner's most prestigious play, "The Evocation of Lorca," which has received recognition from the King of Spain.

Additionally, as an equestrian since childhood, Nesley has trained in "The Art of Riding," an equestrian training method developed by Minette Rice-Edwards, who incorporates the "Alexander Technique" in her training for riders and performers.

Nesley's stage credits include the critically acclaimed production "Glimpses of the Seagull" at Leicester Square Theatre in London, "Gallipoli Voices," a Canning World Arts Event in Perth, Australia, and "Preludes to Promenades" with International concert pianist Anthony Hewitt. "Throw Back Lorca" with Royal Shakespeare Company actor Trader Faulkner, and "Sweet Harmony" with Shakespeare's Globe Theatre actress Susan Porrett, which she performed for several years in London. She also collaborated with concert pianist Viv McLean and violinist David Le Page to create a mixed-genre production titled "Chekhov's Grand Piano," merging the words of Anton Chekhov with Russian classical music.

As the founder of the Actors Act Studio since 2013, Nesley offers regular workshops for actors and business professionals while continuing her international work in the theatre and film industries. She is currently living in Spain, and she has been running workshops in both Madrid and Marbella since 2021. She has taught at numerous colleges in Madrid and coordinated the Rebombori Art Centre's English Theatre events in Madrid and their Children's Theatre for the production of "The Little Prince till 2022. "Between 2022 and 2024, she taught at Marbella Film School, and currently collaborates with "Escuela de las artes Momo" in Marbella, where she holds her acting workshops under the name of her acting studio ", Actors Act".

Presently, she is in rehearsals for "Evocation of Lorca," written by Trader Faulkner and is on set for an international TV series as acting coach and script supervisor; both projects are to premiere in 2026.
